What a dog. I bought this to clock altitude changes while bicycling after an Ex-girlfriend pinched my beloved Avocet 55. The Casio is so insensitive it clocks about 1/3-1/2 the altitude change of my old Avocet (as well as friends' Avocets and the odd Suunto) over the same courses. At walking speeds it is _less_ inadequate. It has no static reference pressure so you can't set barometric pressure and have it read altitude, or vice-versa; you have to set them both. If you are stationary (nee: sleeping) and the barometer changes, it splits the change between the altitude and the barometer. This makes it absolutely useless in trying to calculate barometric pressure changes and predict the probability of storms. On the plus side, it keeps respectable time and the altimeter graph looks neato.

I am extremely happy with this watch, after looking at severals others including the Suunto Vector, I decided to buy this one and am glad that i did. All of the functions work excellent, especially the compass and the barometer, the altimeter has two options you can either calibrate it or you can set it to track the elevation between two places. The thermometer can be misinterpreted when wearing the watch on your wrist because it picks up your body heat but that would happen with any watch but it is extremely accurate. I love how it graphs and automatically can record measurements over time, especially with the barometer, if you notice the pressure going down that is an indication of unstable weather. It also is interesting when climbing and see your rate of elevation change. The watch is a little big but it is not heavy at all, i had no problem getting used to wearing it anymore than another watch and i have a small wrist. So far i have not found anything to complain about and no problems with this watch and would recommend for anyone who enjoys the outdoors.
