Who cares if it bends? All I want is something light, which this is, and easy as 1-2-3 to clean, which this is. If you dont get non-stick for camping, be prepared to spend more time cleaning- and who wants to do that? Similar Products Used: None |

I really like this set. It is light so I pack it last in my pack so nothing can be on top of it to bend it. I have placed paper towels between each pot to avoid scratching. Similar Products Used: None |

I got this cookset for Christmas as a gift. It is the best cookset which I have ever owned. It's light and heats up quickly (especially with the black paint). The big pot is adequate for melting snow for winter use too. Similar Products Used: Coleman Solo kit. (stainless steel) |

These have been a servicable set of pots but like some of the other reviews, not very durable,The teflon coating has worn off fast and they dent easily. In response to one other review,I shouldnt have to treat my backpacking cookset with kid gloves.Sometimes in a deluge,or winter whiteout, you have to just stuff your gear in your pack and run for safety.Things also get dropped or kicked accidentally and outdoor gear should be able to stand up to this.I wouldnt buy boots that the hooks and eyes fall off of if I pull them tight. Waste of money for me. I only back the one pot now because I just boil water with it. But when I was packing them as a set they were wearing the coating of if themselves very bad. I put papertowls between each pot and that fixed the problem with little weight increase. Good set other than that. Very lite but remember it is aluminum and it will bend if you drop a packed 8 pound tent on it. The little ridges on the bottom dont help much about keeping it on the stove like they advertise it to though. If I had it to do over I would buy the titan pot, but if you dont want to dish out the money on a dish then this is a great set. Customer Service MSR never called them, but good webpage. Light, fair price, efficient black color, but like all aluminum, its not durable, in addition the non stick coating cannot handle normal use, it must be pampered to last and that just didn't cut it for me. So I brought my dented, scratched and peeled MSR gourmet pans to the pistol range, they made great targets for my S+W m41. Customer Service use steel or titanium and save yourself a headache Similar Products Used: evernew titanium and s.steel |

I am rather disappointed with this set. The aluminium is too soft, that the lid bent in transit too me. As for the teflon, it is far too desicate for a camping pot. Every time I unpack it, I find that the pots have created a few more scratches and wear spots, and now I have a perfect imprint of a pan bottom in the teflon of the frying pan. They do clean easily, but then so do my cheap Korean ones, and I can use a knife on those. All in all, I am very unimpressed, and I would not recommend these pots. Similar Products Used: None |

I wanted the MSR BlackLite because it is the lightest luxury cooking set out there for backpacking and that is exactly what it is. Pastas and pancakes are no problem. Good non stick performance and super easy to clean, just eat all of your food and wipe it! Overall a great piece of equipment that I've enjoyed now for about 2 years. As for the durability issue: If you don't treat your backpacking equipment with care and love you shoul be made to carry a cast iron cookset. Keep your steel pots for car camping and longetivity should not become a problem. Customer Service Non required - not applicable for pots. Similar Products Used: Steel pots only (MSR and Peak), they do what they are designed for. |
