I've used my Wonderland for several years with no problems, except the constant squeak that comes from the back web rubbing on the frame. The bag is the pack's best point. Lots of room and organization. Pocket on top of pack that OPENS FROM THE BACK is the best, especially in the canoe. Sew up the bottom of the tunnel pocket and it's perfect for longer tent poles and knock down camp saw. Also like the detachable fanny pack. Good pack!

I have had my Wonderland for 3 years and it has not failed me once. I love all of the outside pockets and the detachable fanny pack is nice although a little small.

I have used the REI evening star and decided I did not like internal packs.

This is my first external framepack. So far the only problem I have had is adjusting the mesh that rests on my lower back. For one thin it is very hard to get to and I just couldn't get it tight enough to keep the frame from resting against my back.
I like the integrated hip pack, great place for the 10 essentials, when going for a trip once reaching camp.
Also the large side pocket is perfect for holding a 70oz. Camelbak Hydration system.

I have had this pack on five 4+ day trips carrying loads of 40 lbs or more. It has an excellent hipbelt that is very comfortable and the pack itself is very durable. However, I have found that it is quite noisy and unstable. It rides far off your back and has a tendency to shift from side to side. This is a great pack for level terrain and carrying heavy loads, but dont take it into the mountains.

Customer Service

REI has excellent customer service. They have helped me with purchasing of gear. The sales staff is quite knowledgeble from my experience.

Great Pack works for me very well! Considering this pack weights in at 6lbs it's really a better buy compared to the smaller packs because of all the gear you can carry in. I my friends pack which can carry 40% less cargo weighs in at 5 lbs! Very durable constructions, the straps need a bit of work but overall 5 chilis! Thanks for making it a great buy.

I bought this pack for one night trips with a lot of camera gear. It has worked out wonderfully. It put all the weight off my back and on my hips where it belongs. I carried a ton of camera equipment and did it very well. I would say for the money you would be hard pressed to find a better value.

I have had this on trips of a week twice and have had trouble with it both times. I was only carrying #35 so it was not overloaded. Had trouble with pins breaking, pack noise and hip belt sliping. The compartments are easy to get to but that is true of most any external frame pack.If you have a lot to carry for a short distance and for a few days then this pack is not to bad, but for a long haul it just did not work out for me.
