I am very unhappy with the map and topo operation of the unit. I have had 6mo's and not been able to install the $130.00 CD topo to GPS unit. It keeps coming up with error messages. Ihave taken to countless computer shops to no avail. Garmin is untouchable, you cannot get hold of anybody for tech. help. Now I know why the Company (Garmin) doesn't have a program to let you see CD content before purchasing. GPS operation is flawless but rest is nuts.

I found that Garmin is not provide a warm body to help even after owning E-Map only a few hours. They replied after waiting 10 days on E-Mail with a generatic reply that didn't help at all . Second time ne reply at all

I've had the eMap for three weeks, it's great. More impressive than I thought would come in a little package. I use it in the car for trips and it rarely loses satt. locks. Use it hiking and kayaking with a waterproof case. The only thing about it that would be better is that it should be waterproof.
