Strength:

Extra storage (just right. Good hip balt and padding. The Big Zip 3 holds a good amount of water. Designed well, looks great.

Weakness:

None, although its out of production now. The old model was pretty ugly, the new one is sweet though!

The Typhoon appears to be well worth the $47.95 I paid at www.nashbar.com($95 retail). Although it is reffered to as a biking Hydration pack, it is equally suited for most any adventure. With comfortable padding and support and an excellent, large hipbelt, the Platypus allows anyone to hike, bike, climb and more with ease and accesability. The zippers are large and sturdy. The clips and straps are good quality too. Basically, if you're looking for a hydration pack with room for extra stuff, this should be highly regarded. Although it has 1700+cu. inches of space it can be compressed to convert to a more minimalist hydration pack. Think twice before shelling out $70-100 for a new Camelback or other comparable models, this Typhoon from Nashbar looks great, and is an awesome deal!
