Day Hiker

I purchased two of these at the local gear shop and here are some reflections after using them for approximately 6 months. Bladder - There is not a better bladder out there!! Camelbak, and platypus each make good bladders, but for the money and features UD bladders are tops. The roll top system allows for a huge hole to fill and easy to clean, with no leaking. Bite valve - mine came with the screamer, which I hated. I opted to cut it off and use the one from camelbak. Pack - the pack itself is very good. You can store spare tube, bike tool, money, keys, garage door opener, or crackers, gu, or whatever. It is relatively cool on your back and the sternum AND stomach straps keeps the pack on your back come hell or highwater (which is mainly what I bike in). That said when I road bike I usually leave the pack at home in favor of a bottle unless I am going farther than 30 miles.
