I purchased my Endless Journey when I quit my corporate job in 1998. It has since been all over the world and has never failed me. I use it for travel. I use it when I am backpacking in the mountains. I strain the zippers every time I close them and they are still going strong. I am looking for a smaller ("carry on") bag now and will give Eagle Creek the benefit of the doubt without question.

I bought this backpack used, and it was still in fabulous condition after having been on two European backpacking trips with its previous owner. I've used it primarily in my own travels, in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. It holds a ton but is easily cinched down with compression straps. The two main compartments, panel-loading design, and zip-off day and fanny packs made this pack extremely handy and easy to organize. The suspension is amazingly comfortable, with all the bells and whistles of a wilderness internal frame. I was studying abroad, and at one point had my pack filled with clothes, shoes, and about 30 lbs. of law books. While I wouldn't suggest trekking around for long with any bag packed like this, it supported the load very well. All in all, the pack has an excellent, durable construction, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a pack to get them through their travels with comfort!

Jansport Mozambique. Absolutely the WORST travelpack you could ever own--incredibly uncomfortable and unstable.

I bought the pack because it felt really comfortable in the store and ALL of the pockets. I still like my pack but I think it has too much lateral weight when it is packed. It seems to put too much weight outward than a pack would that is closer to your back would.

I dont have any other experience with other packs, just observations. The largest observation with this pack and other packs are, other packs are more vertical. Still makes great luggage though.
