Kelty Lightwing Internal Frame Backpacks

Kelty Lightwing Internal Frame Backpacks

DESCRIPTION

Easy access panel-loading pack lets you easily carry enough gear for a long day hike or a quick overnight. Acetyl rod helps transfer weight to the waistbelt for an evenly distributed load. Lightbeam(TM) aluminum stays are designed with a computer to be ultra-lightweight without compromising the stiffness and strength needed for stability. Foam-padded anatomically-shaped hipbelt and padded, curved shoulder straps with sternum strap help evenly distribute the load. Molded foam back panel and lumbar pad add comfort while allowing ventilation for dry comfort on the trail. Flat front pocket and 2 side pockets with zippers keep essentials and water bottles close at hand and protected from the elements. Internal slab pocket lets you add a hydration bladder (not included) for convenient water on the go. Made from durable Spectra(R) ripstop nylon for long-lasting wear. Closeout.

Kelty Lightwing Pack -- I've had mine for several years. I couldn't ask for a better carrying pack, be it with only 20 pounds or 80 pounds payload. There are enough straps on it to strap on anything you might need from sleeping bags to bear-proof food containers if it won't fit in the pockets or main compartment. When wearing this pack, you ARE wearing it -- not carrying it -- the belt and suspension distribute the weight onto your pelvis and off of your shoulders. Even with 75 pounds in and on it, I still make 3 mph hiking in the Sierra. This pack is well worth the price of admission.
