I've had the Ute for several years now, and used it on several multi-night trips. I really like all the straps and daisy chains on back to strap things to. Carrys the load well, and I haven't had any problems with it. Would like to have an external pocket or two, but that's what the Red Cloud is for. Great pack for the price, and I'd recommend it!

This pack is very good. I have used it for several 4 day trips along the AT and have had no problems. It hauls a lot of equipment and is quite comfortable to boot. The construction is top notch which you expect from Kelty. I recommend this pack to anyone wanting a good pack without spending a lot of money.

The Ute is a great pack. I used it on a 5 day excursion including some canoeing. It's completely adjustable (both my brother and I use it - he's 6 inches taller and about 60 pounds heavier). The Cinch straps are in a good location to lash things to. Unfortunately the top sack doesn't double as a hip pack, but I hooked the buckles together and threw it over my shoulder. You can load this pack and it's still comfy
