A very functional pack, great for extended trips where you need to carry all your kit and food. I used it for the West Coast Trail on Canada's Vancouver Island.

There is however, one big drawback for this pack, the hip strap. My previous Lowe back has a thick, durable strap where as the one on this one is thin and flimsy. The end resuklt is that it will not hold its shape and twists. The twisting causes it to lose tension quickly. This was happening every extremely often, i.e. every time I the terrain got quite rough. Ultimately this meant the weight shifted to my shoulders, not ideal when the pack weighed close to 28kg.

This backpack is the worst buy I did in years. During a trip in New Zealand the "ergonomic" hipbelt was pushing so hard on the top of the bones in my hip that I had big bruises and a permanent skindamage. I even had to take painkillers. I cannot use the backpack anymore and am trying to sell it

I've been a long-time fan of Lowe's kit and have learned to trust their brand. I've travelled around the world twice with my old Alpa-Mayo and when it came time to replace it, the Cerro Torre 75 + 20 was a natural choice. It's APS system and excellent padding combined with its ease of expansion and attention to detail make it a great choice for the travelling adventure junkie....The build quality is top quality and their lifetime warranty is worth the price-tag alone

Customer Service

I've had my bag repaired twice due to damage incurred when travelling. Both times Lowe turned the back around quickly (1 week return from the UK) with good as new replacement panels and new seams for a very reasonable charge and the guarantee was not revoked despite some fairly obvious rough treatment.

An excellent backpack!!! Comfortable on your hips even after a long day of walking. The adjustable back system makes the pack fit well and to almost anybody. The ease with which the lid can be extended to give the extra 20 litres is brill. Generaly one of the best packs ive used. Just a bit pricy (but you get what you pay for i suppose).

I purchased this pack when I was in Ireland this summer because of the good things that I had heard about Lowe and because of the great price. I have been out hiking with the pack several times and it has proven to be a great pack. The material is incredibly durable and all the straps make it adjustable. I found that the pack became more comfortable the more I used it.

Is there a brand with the quality of Lowe Alpine, for these prices? I have not found a product of Lowe that I find of little quality. Very good for people who don't know the differences between the several brands; If it fits you,...years of pleasure!
The Cerro Torre is a well formed (if your back is long enough) easy-carrying backpack, with lots of space for a long walk in the mountains. If you don not fill it completely, it is easily made smaller by enough straps, so it doesn't start wiggling.
