I don't think they make this pack any more but if you come across one buy it. The pack is well made with some nice features such as a large pocket on the floating cover that will actually handle raingear and a pack cover. The cover also converts to a daypack. The inverted "T" zipper opening allows access to all your gear so if your like me and sometimes not the most organized you'll appreciate this feature. The suspension system is adequate I wish the hipbelt had a little more padding, Actually it has no padding but is designed to spread the weight over a large area. This pack forms well to your body with ample compression straps to secure loads an external shove-it pocket and the Mountainsmith trade mark bungee cord. At 4500cc it carries more than enough gear for an extended trip but in a very light package. Good gear!

Customer Service

The people at Mountainsmith where very helpful in helping me find this pack. I had used a friends Backbowl and fell in love with it. Because they no longer made this model they referred me to a supplier in Colorado who still had the pack in stock
