My experience with this pack has been excellent. I have taken it for many 2 day backpacking trips for a total of 14 miles. I could easily use it for 3 or 4 day trips since the expandable collar hardly ever is used(I like to pack light). When it is loaded with a 5lb tent 3lb sleeping bag, cooking gear, clothes, food, 2 bottles of water, rain gear, thermarest, it feels as if it follows my back and I have never felt pain as a result of the pack. As a matter of fact I am almost comforted when I strap it on it is so well suspended. A nice feature is the 3 different height settings. Some of the great feature are its expandability, versatility(ability to have bottom storage area separated or one main compartment), comfort, durability(thus far), pocket placement(not too many useless pockets; but top pocket great for map, camera, snack etc.), and the waterproof nature of it(comes with nifty rain cover that stows beautifully). All in all an excellent pack that comes highly recommended. Mark Schindler

I dreaded the idea of having a pack that carried more than 4500 cu. in. but after I ordered the VauDe Montana 65 because I am somewhat experienced, I realized that this would be the best pack for my wife also, a beginner.

The pack comes in 2 types; 1 for small to medium frame people and 2 for medium to large frames.

Carrying anything from 5200 to 5800 cu. in., the framed proved outstanding in comfort and versatility. At a price that's nice also! http://www.knradventuregear.com
