Well I really like these boots, after the first six months I had to replace the soles, which I usually do after a few weeks. The support is right on for me. The lightweight make and durability seem to be a perfect tradeoff Similar Products Used: Merrel Superlights, varied |

Great fitting boots right out of the box. I've had mine for over a year now and not one blister and the easiest break in period I've ever had for all leather boots. I've used mine for backpacking, snowshoeing, and wearing every day and you can barely tell they've been worn. The soles show no wear and the workmanship on the leather and stitching is outstanding. I use Nikwax and Camp Dry Spray to waterproof them and haven't had wet feet yet. (The Nikwax does darken the leather though) I would recommend these boots to anyone unless you're going to climb Denali. Similar Products Used: Hi-Tec, Danner, Nike |

Asolo produces some of the most comfortable boots. These boots required minimal break-in, and they have held up very well. The soles do seem to wear a little too quickly. I would recommend these boots for entry- to mid-level backpackers. Similar Products Used: None |

This is a fantastic boot. If you can find it on sale (I paid about $120 for them) they are well worth the money. I have gone on 12+ mile hikes in them and felt very comfortable with no complaints. The sole has wore down after 2years, but that was the older softer sole. The newer ones have a sturdier Vibram sole. Super Comfy! Similar Products Used: None |

I have two pairs of 530's. Overall these boots are extremely comfortable and if properly waterproofed stay dry through extended wetness. One thing to watch out for: The boots are made in various locations with different quality. My old pair has double stitching throughout the entire boot. The newer pair has only single stitching....which is now coming apart. Buy double stitched boots!!!! Similar Products Used: danner mt. light |

Incredible boots! Great ankle support and lateral stability while being very comfortable. Break in time is short yet the life is long. Best non-mountaineering boots I've ever worn (I've tried most major brands). The Nubuck leather (read: NOT SUEDE) treated well and remained waterproof and durable. Customer Service None, there were no problems with the boot. Similar Products Used: Several Vasques(poor), various Scarpas, Salomon Authentic 7& Super Mountain 8, Merrel ?, Danner Ft. Lewis, La Sportiva Makalu, Asolo Ridges,... |

Okay, this is actually for the AFX 530, but it's basically the same boot, just that the 535 has a newer sole and different color leather around the top of the boot. I've had these boots for about 4 years, I usually wear them in the winter when I'm not at the office, because they're so comfortable and supportive. That said, I don't think I'd strap on a heavy pack to do any backpacking in these boots, they're a little soft for that. And I've always been leary of them leaking water, even though after numerous waterproofings, I've still not felt any water entering them. But now that Asolo makes a Gore-Tex model, they're just about perfect for all-around boots. Good looking, too. Got mine at a scratch and dent sale at REI for $32. Someone apparently wore them once and took 'em back. Customer Service My speed lacers are finally beginning to come out of the uppers, but these boots have held up for a long time, so I didn't really expect Asolo to fix that for free (they won't). Guess I can't really complain. Similar Products Used: Vasque Sundowners, Merrell Wilderness, Raichle Spirit |

So far so good. I am a meter reader for a local power company, and I have gone through plenty of boots. Now, I don't climb granite mountains, but I just about cover all types of terrain and these boots have given perfect support and ample traction for me. They are very comfortable and my feet keep dry. I wear these every day, and no blisters yet. Excellent boot. Great price for a great boot. Similar Products Used: ECCO Boots. Don't buy these unless you plan on wearing them inside. $200 a pair! |

I had a pair of 530's (the 535 precursor) that I loved. Not a single blister from them, and the held up for over a 1000 miles. Have a pair of 535's with about 150 miles and they still look like new. The sole and leather are both a little stiffer than the 530's, so they take a little more break in time. Comfortable, weatherproof, and rugged. Just had the leather - no GTX - which IMO doesn't belong in boots anyway. Similar Products Used: Salomon Authentic 7 - lighter leather upper with similar sole stiffness as the Asolo 535 |

An OK boot. Comfortable and, seemingly, durable enough. Used them for several day hikes in the Whites and two weeks of village-to-village in Switzerland and Italy. Definitely *not* a boot for heavy backpacking; too soft. Also, the soft soles, which are comfotable for long sections on rock, have a tendency to roll at the edges -- this is not a great boot for ""edging"". Similar Products Used: Raichle. La Sportiva. |
