I bought these boots after very careful research and have owned them for 6 months. I know three other people who own these boots and they all love them. The Parallel offers great ankle support, a must for me since I have weak ankles. The rubber toe is also a necessity since I always wear out the toe in my boots. These boots work great and the only downside is their weight and appearance, but who cares what your shoes look like when you're out backpacking and covered in mud. Asolo has fixed all the problems that the boots had when they first came out and I haven't heard of any of the new models breaking.

I have the Meridian which I think is the first gen. boot. They have the exposed ankle braces. I've done almost a year in them and so far I've found them to be very comfortable and stable. I don't think the weight is all that bad compared to other heavy-duty boots. Also, no problem with watertightness thusfar. I've gotten them completetly soaked and my feet stayed dry. I got mine for $99, so for that money, I don't think you can go wrong!

I got these boots a couple of years ago for %0 bucks. Never spent a better $50 on boots in my life. They have turned into my beater boots. I have no fear wearing them and they have held up great. They are a bit clunky and heavy but you can be sure they will hold up to whatever trail you are on.

I have had these boots for a couple of years now, and have very few complaints. They are a bit on the heavy side, however they are like a tank. I have no fears about these boots not holding up on the trail.

They look frumpy. I bought some the first year offered with the exposed bioframe. Once I figured out how to lace them to fit my feet, they are comfortable with a big foot box. Easy to lace and adjust. Watertight. I have logged some hard Rainer miles with some heavy loads and at the end of the day, my feet are still in fine shape. They are heavy but very stable.

Customer Service

I am not impressed with Asolo's customer service. Their responses to emails for information requests were curse and non helpful. The boots are good, the customer service has a way to go.
