Strength:

They are quite thickly padded around the upper ankle and are made of leather. Smooth leather lines the interiors, and strong vibrams cover the bottoms. The insole disappointed me because it was paper-thin and provided little cushioning or arch support. | office demolition services

Think about that when you fork out nearly the equivalent price for a pair of synthetic or mixed boot that touts a GT liner. THE GT LINER WILL WEAR OUT IN 2-3 YEARS. Then you're stuck with a pair of boots that can't possibly be waterproof ever again. foundation repair contractor

This boot is one of the best pairs of boot I have ever owned, Outdry technolagy is second to non completey water proof leather this is what every one has been waiting for! Further more the quality of construction and components used is top class this is a 5 out of 5 boot and is better than Scarpa SL M3's and Meindal Napaul. See: www.elpasoturfpros.com

Strength:

This boot is extremely comfortable, yet very sturdy. I backpack in it, and it carries the weight with no problem. However, it is light enough to comfortably day hike in, or even to drive the car to the trailhead. See: www.youtube.com/channel/UC05sHqvP_6DtEZXNyI4hauw

Strength:

Excellent boots. Comfortable and waterproof and have great traction. Only negative is they're heavy, so they're a lot more tiring than light hiking boots. Very odd that LL Bean seems to have copied the design of these but imitation is the sincerest form of flattery :-) retaining walls dallas tx

Mountaineer

I first met Danner boots when I was in the Army at Fort Bragg in 1987 when I wore a pair of "Fort Lewis" boots. I bought my pair of Danner "Siskiyou" boots in 1999 specifically for a climb on Washington's Mount Rainier. I had to wear them consistently to break them in, but once broke they feel like tennis shoes (heavy tennis shoes!). My feet never got cold or wet in them. Well, here it is 10 years later and these boots are as solid as the day I got them. Some sole wear, a few small cracks in the leather (which I could have prevented by better care), and still warm and waterproof. These are the best boots I've had, and hey - $210 for 10 years of wear! Where else can you wear a good boot for $10 a year?! And I wear these boots everyday, not just for mountaineering. It's just too bad Danner discontinued them. The Mountain Light II may be comparable (not sure), but either way Danner is the way to go.

Customer Service

in my experience Danner customer service has been excellent
