I have to say, these shoes rock. Danner always come through even with there lower end models, even though still spendy in most cases. I lucked out with what I paid. I use them for walking and hiking local trails as well as mtn. biking. They feel great, but run a tad bit narrow, I had to go a half size larger than normal, but still worth it.

Let me start by saying that I love Danner. I got my first pair from a friend in the SEAL Teams back in 1994. They were Acadia's and I still have them. Since then, I have had several pairs of Danner's and I love them all. You just can't beat them. I bought my Traverse Peaks last summer, and I tested them out in the Grand Canyon. I did a 28 mile hike when they were new and not one blister. My feet were perfect. I was sold after that. Since then, I have taken them on hikes almost every weekend, and long backpack trips about five times. They are still as comfortable as the day I got them. My only gripe is this. I got my wife a pair, and for some reason shoe companies always make the female models in the better colors. The guys have to choose from grey and black, or forrest green. Girls get a cool tan color that I love!! Also, I just called Danner, and they informed me that they are out of production, so now, I don't know if I will be able to find another shoe this comfortable. But overall, this shoe kicks butt. I hike a lot and they are still going strong.
