I think fit is the most important in a hiking shoe/boot. All Five-tens fit me great. The Mountain Master is no exception. It is a great shoe. Very beefy midsoles really put a lot of shock absorption to the feet and legs. I use these with 40lb loads hiking all day and my feet feel great at the end. I won't buy anything else except the 5.10 Guide Almighty for lighter hikes and to save the Mountain Masters for heavier loads.

Nice fit right out of the box. Great traction on the red rock out here in Nevada/So. Utah. No problems so far, except for a little wear on the toe area. Would recommend for rock scrambling and light day hikes. Get a pair and feel the difference of the sticky bottom of the shoe, really does stick to the rock.
