I bougth the goretex version of these boots and they are great, comfortable straight from the box, absolutley no breaking in required. The contragrip sole unit gave a great grip in any conditions I've used them in. Also they proved very warm and comfortable in cold wet conditions. I also used them back packing in Australia where they proved great but maybe a little warm due to the goretex lining, but the unlined version would probably be great in a warmer climate.

Great boots!!! I wish I wouldn't have grown out of them. Great ankle support. The best traction of any boot I have ever worn. Almost as good as a climbing shoe, really!! The light weight makes these boots, in my opinion, the best all around boot yet.
