Is a good mid-range bag - tends to be a little heavy for the [supposed] +20 rating, but if on a weekend trip works fine - a longer trip, recommend a lighter bag. As for the +20 rating -- I added a flannel liner and was ok at +30 - I think the rating just a trifle over-optimistic.

Unfortunately, this is a bad review. First of all, the bag fits very narrow through the sholders. It is almost impossible to move around in the bag. Due to the tight fit it is a major task to zip the bag up and down. The drawstring that pulls the face hole closed is worthless unless adjusted before getting in the bag. Also, the twenty degree temperature rating should be raised to thirty five degrees. This bag would be a great car camping accessory.

Bag purchased last summer, has been a good summer camping bag in most climates. Not warm enough for the mountains as I have found out, but an overall excellent value. Has a nice clothlike liner and features of more expensive bags, mummy hood, inside pulling zipper etc.

The bag has some nice touches like a cloth lining and velcro wind closure around neck area. The mummy styling is a bit small in the shoulder area, so I would prefer a bit more room there. Overall a nice bag for the money.

Good 3-season bag. Very good insulation, slightly heavy for backpacking, but stuffs small. Ours ripped on an inner seam, too. Kelty gave us an RMA number, repaired and returned it within two weeks.

Customer Service

Very courteous service. Great company. My wife's Kelty backpack is probably 30 years old, still going strong, with only a replacement belt.

The Kelty Clear Creek 0 (zero degree) bag is a fairly decent sleeping bag, as long as you don't need to use it at zero degrees. Like many modestly priced bags, the temperature rating is, well, overly optimistic. Maybe a 20 or 25 degree bag, but don't count on it at zero. For the money, it's ok considering the weight, but as a backpacking bag it's not that well suited. For a young boy scout that camps year-round, it's a pretty good choice as long as extra clothes or other measures are taken when it gets really cold. Also, the mummy hood cord broke after just a little use.

Good bag for the buck. I had a Sears special before and froze my butt off in the middle of summer in Northern Maine. This bag was a god send. Light comfy and WARM.....Finally I could enjoy camping with the buds. Live and learn. Kelty make a good product.

Good late spring to early fall. I sleep kind of cold anyway, but overall a good three season bag. I have to use a flannel liner and zip my jacket over the feet to stay really warm. Would recomend to a new hiker for a lightweight mid temp bag.

The 0 degree Clear Creek is also a great bag,but it would best be used for car camping, I need the long version and it weighs in at over 6 Lbs. I think it is too heavy and bulky for backpacking or Mountaineering

This is a great bag at a decent price, I have used this bag extensively , from campgrounds with the family, to the highest peaks in Montana. I have been caught in June blizzards where the temperature dipped slightly below the +20 rating, and the bag outperformed its rating, I stayed warm and cozy other than the hourly duty of knocking snow off the tent. The Clear Creek also has good loft even after being cinched down in a compression sack all-day. I highly recommend this bag!
