A great bag...somewhat expensive but an awesome high country 3 season bag. Compresses nice and small and weighs very little. This bag will keep you warm in all but the most chilly nights.

Customer Service

I own several products from this company and have sent a parka back to them for restitching. They did a great job and did it quickly.

A wonderful bag, I got mine on sale for about $150. I've NEVER slept cold in this bag. I've always been warm or down right hot. I used this bag in at 11,000' in Feburary (0 degrees f) and was extreemly comfortable. The velcro on the hood is much more durable than on my North Face bag, and it has 'fuzz' attachment points on both sides so it can be safely closed when not in use. The closure on my other bags is always left hanging and I end up scratching my face or back on it. The only complaint I have, and this is really my own problem, is I can sinch the hood almost completely closed. This really isn't a problem, but on occasion, I wake and find myself face down in the hood and can't locate the draw string. I haven't had this problem in other bags, but I think it's my own dazed state, not a design flaw. The down filling also picks up an interesting charachter after it's been sweated in for a few months. This is easily taken care of by washing though. I would recomend this as a GREAT 3.5 season bag. Not too great for January mountineering, but for everything else, it's superb. As with all Marmot products, I've been extreemly pleased.

I have a simmilar North Face bag, that isn't nearly as warm or comfortable. It is a synthetic bag, and I belive that to be part of the comfort issue. The velcro closure on the hood lacks 'fuzz' to safely stow the tab when not in use. I frequently scratch my face and back when it is not in use. Not a huge problem, but definitely a comfort issue.

I was fortunate to find out how really warm this bag is on a February winter night in Snake Gulch off the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. I'm prone to hypothermia and the temp was O to 9 degrees. I had a thin liner in an older REI bag and a thin pad. You guessed it, about 10:30 things got bad and two trained WFR's treated me and said I had to lay next to one of the guys in the Marmot "Never Summer" to get warm. I did and it did the trick, along with a few warm playtypus! I bought one immediately (on a web business for $250) and have since used it in Alaska and will use it on river trips too.!
