This is a new technical down bag by MEC (the Canadian REI for you guys south of the boarder). The MEC design shop found an empty niche in the market and nailed it. Using 700 fill, a half zip, and lightweight fabrics to save weight, this bag still has a gasket-style muff/yolk and serious hood. I'm sure it will outperform anything else in the sub-3lbs. class--especially since it costs about $210(US)! (Rated to -7C or 15F, but with VBL, I'm sure -15C/5F will be no problem.)
