What I liked: This beg is about the right temp rating for use in all seasons for me. It is designed to be close fitting and that makes it warmer. The quality of the workmanship is excellent. The hood works well and the zipper rarely snags. However, I replaced it with a down bag that gives me a few more inches of girth to move around in and is lighter for the same warmth. So some of it is personal, but this was my first synthetic bag and I still don't think a synthetic bag can feel as cozy as a quality down bag.

I currently own 4 down bags for different seasons backpacking, and 3 synthetic bags for car camping in the SouthWest. I gave this one to my 13 year old grandson because it was the least liked, by me.

The only problem I have with this bag was how hard it was to find, I had to have a local shop order it from the manufacturer. I guess the company was bought out and I had to wait for the new line to come out. But it's a perfect bag, roomy, warm, well-made, just perfect.

These bags are getting harder and harder to find these days, so get hold of one while you can!
Fantastic shape, built to last and warm as toast. My wife goes nuts because she can't get me out of mine! Small thing: nobody else has mentioned the lovely color, but I will. "Twilight" blue; what could be more suitable for a good nights sleep and what other better color bags are out there? None!

This bag is great! It's well-constructed and lightweight, and really lives up to it's 15 degree temp. rating. The "shoulder yoke" really does a great job of keeping the warmth in and the cold out. I have found that if you use two sleeping pads you can go into even lower temperatures than the bags rating.

This bag also stuffs to an easily manageable size, so you have room for other stuff in your backpack.

I too think this is a superb bag. Warmer than any comparable 15 degree bag and unbelievable loft. Slept under the stars in the Isles of Scilly U.K. last fall and absolutly drenched from dew by morning but slept warm and dry. Bag dryed out very quickly. My brother slept in a Marmot 7th Heaven and comparing the two side by side-well there was no comparison!

Moonstone constructed this bag with alot of TLC. Temperature rating is correct at 15 degrees, and the fit is incredible... plenty of room in shoulders, tapering nicely in the legs. I'm 6' 200 lbs and this is the best fit bag I've ever had. Doesn't pack quiet as small as I would like, but I'll sacrifice a couple of inches for this bag. It's ground level zippers are wonderful, as they keep drafts and breezes to a minimum. This bag is constructed better and has better weatherproofing than it's competitors(TNF, Sierra Designs, Kelty, etc.)

A great all-around bag. Only had it down to 20 deg so far but even at that temp, I slept out of the hood and partially unzipped. And I'm a fairly cold sleeper. Great bag: lightweight, durable, and a good value.

Customer Service

No need.

I have only used this bag on two trips thus far. The first was a week in the Wind Rivers in March (with the extra liner) -- it was fantastic. The second was for a canoe trip on the Upper Missour in Montana the end of April. The rain pounded us, but the bag stayed dry for most of the night -- however even when wet I was comfortably warm!
I got the DryLoft shell which I am happy with, but my tent mate on the Wind River trip was not. It has a bit of a rustling sound which kept waking him up. I am VERY pleased with this bag.

The ability to add the liner to get 4-season use from the bag was the deciding factor for me.
