Moonstone 800 Zone 2 DryLoft Sleeping Bags

Moonstone 800 Zone 2 DryLoft Sleeping Bags

DESCRIPTION

This +10- to +25-degree mummy bag with high-quality, 800+ fill-power European goose down is ideal for lightweight, 3-season backpacking.. Gore DryLoft(R) shell provides water resistance to protect the down insulation and wind resistance to keep you warmer. Trapezoidal stretch-tricot baffles keep down in place; over-filled chambers further increase its stability, preventing cold spots. Anatomically-shaped hood with circumferential baffles from shoulder to shoulder cradle your head in warmth. Oversized draft tube behind the zipper keeps body heat in, cold drafts out; hangs from top so gravity keeps it in place. Ground-level side-seams allow maximum heat retention. Closeout.

Superb bag! Very warm and extremely comfortable. Extra room for larger people or for those who want extra room. I had plenty of room to roll over or store gear with me. The yoke idea is one that every manufacturer should adopt. Cradles your neck and shoulders ensuring no cold air gets in (or warm air out). A draft "collar" never worked this well. At 10* temp rating this is right on the nose if not concervative. Spent several nights in low to mid teans and needed to keep it unzipped part of the way. One night at 17* was without a tent in the snow. The Dryloft shell did not pick up any condensation and was completely dry every moroning (even during rain and snow). This bas is mor like a 3++ season bag. With the optional liner adding 25* extra warmth, you can have you cake and eat it too with a true 3-season and 4-season bag. Without question the best bag I have ever owned or used.

Customer Service

REI was outstanding as usual. Have not had to deal with Moonstone directly.
