I believe this is a Zone 1 Summer bag, not Zone 3. I have found it to be an exceptional bag. Very comfortable with an over stuffed foot compartment. The linning is soft and makes for easy turning and the hood has enough down so that you really don't need a pillow. I think it is probably under rated for temperature. The 3/4 length zipper is a great idea for weight and heat retention. The only knock I have is the color, gold, which doesn't translate very well to cloth dyes, the bag has a 70's look, nothing's perfect...This bag is intended for summer and Dry conditions such as those in the High Sierra. It also fits the ultralite requirements, ideal for those considering camping the "Ray Way".

Similar Products Used:

Western Mountaineering Ultralite, 38 degree bag. It has sewn through stitching and was to Ultralight for my application. But a very well made bag and at 21 Oz a featherwieght.
