Once again REI comes through for me in allowing me to test different bags. I tested a lot. The one that came closest to this bag was the Marmont Pinnacle. Which was still a distant second. This is a great bag! Sure I paid full price, but this is my home away from home and being it is a 2001 model won't possibly be on sale until next year.

So why do I like it so much? First, being the amature tester/ consumer that I am I through some water on it and the SL Conduit worked great the water just beaded up. Second and most importantly, the expansion ablility. I am able to unzip the second zipper and get an extra 8 inches of room! Perfect! I don't know about you, but I have always disliked mummy bags because they were so cramping. I want room at night to move around so I don't wake up because I am stuck in my bag. This is the main reason I bought this bag. Super comformtable and roomy. Test it for yourself. Hope this allows you to make an better informed decision. Happy trails. Mark
