REI Fat Cat +20 Sleeping Bags

DESCRIPTION

This goose down sleeping bag packs a lot of comfort into a lightweight, compact package!. Semi-rectangular shape converts to a modified-mummy shape for greater versatility; short side zipper forms a collar and drawn hood for cold weather. Insulated, full-length draft tube backing the anti-snag zipper seals in warmth. Roomy foot box keeps your toes toasty warm. Unzips around foot to be opened up flat for use as a comforter, or to zip together with another REI Fat Cat sleeping bag. Ideal for three-season backpacking or camping.

Inexpensively made and roomy. I''m kind of a cold sleeper and find it marginal for winter camping and good to a little warm for summer camping, which is to be expected. The stitching near the hood came loose and had to be sewed. The stuff sack is larger than it needs to be. The hood is difficult to arrange in sort of mummy shape. The volume of down is a little light in one of the cells near the hood. It has been adequate in roughly 40 nights of backpacking. The best single word for this bag is "adequate." I''m really looking forward to getting a higher quality bag

My sons North Face Blue Kazoo blows it away but doesn''t have the room. I''m really studying the Big Agnes Lost Ranger or possibly the North Face Blue Ox.
