I bought this bag for all season backpacking trips, thinking it would keep me warm to zero degrees. WRONG!! It is a great bag, but not a warm bag. I estimate it to be good to +15 degrees. I spent a frozen restless night on Mt. Hood (OR) in August. I spent another horrible night in March on Mt. San Jacinto (CA). I am not a particularly cold sleeper either, as my husband (who weighs 215 lbs and has the same bag) was also freezing. His bag was later returned to REI after 9 months of use because it developed a hole near the drawstring through which the down was merrily leaping out.

Customer Service

REI gladly took back my husband's flawed bag, and allowed him to put the new price of it toward a better, warmer bag. For customer service, that can't be beat.

I've had this bag for two years now and it's been used everywhere from Sea Kayaking in winter off the Georgia Coast to Mountain Climbing/Skiing in Colorado. This has been an oustanding bag. It is a liitle warm in summer but that's not what it's for.

This sleeping bag is a good bang for the buck. It has kept me warm through the coldest of nights and dry when the weather got ugly and water was seeping into my tent. Great product!

This bag is best used on a couch while watching Outdoor Life. The temp rating of zero is pure fiction, and may refer to how many times you will want to use this bag again, it's value, or how you feel inside it. Not recommended, but at least I could return it for a full refund and get something useful, like freeze dried toilet paper.

An excellent bag, especially for the price. It has Polarguard fill, which isn't as compact as 3D or primaloft, but that wasn't really a consideration. It's probably possible to get the same size and warmth bag in primaloft that would weigh

This is a wonderful bag for the price. I would bet that for most people it sleeps a little colder than 0 (maybe more like +10) (I sleep cold and have used this bag down to -20 with no problems). However, it could use baffles to keep the down in place.

THE BAG SLEEPS GREAT. THE PRICE POINT IS ALMOST UNBEATABLE. THE DOWN HAS TENDENCY TO MOVE AROUND CREATING HOT AND COLD SPOTS

Customer Service
