I bought the -5 degree rated bag for my wife who had never been camping before. We went camping in Colorado in March which is very cold at night. I was worried that my wife would be uncomfortable, but thought the bag would keep her warm. That night got down to about 20 degrees (actually warm for a March CO night!) and she was very comfortable and slept well. We are very pleased with the bag and are looking for another so we can double them together.

While on a hunting trip during december in the high country of bishop california, I had encountered some cold weather. More than my 25 degree summer coleman bag could withstand anyway. After almost freezing to death, I drove out to town the next morning to get a sleeping bag. I found the Slumberjack "such a deal" rated to -5 degrees. I liked the idea of a warm rectangular bag so I got it. The rest of the trip was great and w/ the help of a few layers of clothing, I slept like a baby. The temp at night was anywhere from 5-0 degrees at night... Water froze, food froze, even our cooking oil froze, and we had to use our ice box to keep things from freezing. Anyway, a good, comfortable, roomy sleeping bag I would reccomend to anybody.

I have the 25 degree version that was purchased for occasional campground trips. I initally wanted some legroom and didn't want to go ballistic having a claustrophobia fit in the middle of the night. (After using it about 20 times, through a few 20 degree nights, it has pointed out the design problems of a rectangular bag).

This bag itself is well made, relatively light, stuffs small and is very soft. The details are well thought out and it has held up well. I've used it for a camp throw/extra bag and everyone who's seen or touched it is suprised at how nice it is for a rectangular bag. I still use it & it's handy to have around for the common Southern US summer heatwave. It's a nice bag for the car-campground camper with the occasional backpacking trip thrown in.

Customer Service

Never needed customer service as the bag is very sturdy.
