This stove carries a lifetime warranty, but I don't forsee me ever having to use it. Buy this stove if you are in the market for a liquid fuel stove and don't mind paying a bit more for a stove that is built solidly, can burn virtually any fuel you can find, is compact, and has excellent flame control. The flame adjustment control on the Nova is nearly as good as a canister stove. The flame adjusts the instant you turn the dial. The Nova is easy to light and has excellent stability. I have used large pots on it without any trouble. The first couple times I used the Nova fuel shot out of the pump when I disconnected the fuel hose from the burner, but only because I hadn't properly depressurized the fuel bottle. I have since learned how to do this by using the flip-stop feature by flipping the fuel bottle over and letting the flame burn out on its own and then waiting until the stove has completely cooled down and I haven't had a repeat incident of this. I feel that the Optimus Nova is the best stove on the market at any price.

This is a great stove: relatively lightweight, burns nearly everything flamable, very stable and very good control over flame.

Price above includes shipping. I don't have the name of the place handy right now but it is a great deal and this is a great stove. Very well made and very easy to use. The complaint in an earlier review about fuel spillage when disconnecting the fuel line is nonsense. The reviewer obviously didn't flip over the fuel bottle to allow the fuel in the line to burn off. When properly shutdown there is not even a hint of fuel when disconnecting the line. And the quick-connect mechanism works great.

I've contacted Optimus and Brunton in the past regarding my SVEA and they were great. Sent me a new fuel cap for the SVEA when I naively used it with a windscreen and the cap released.

I bought this stove after I lost my whisperlight international overseas. I wanted a stove that would burn diesl since that is what the vehicle I travel in overseas uses. My MSR would not burn anything but white gas reliably. The Nova has been burning JP8 since the middle of January while only clogging once. I swiched from White gas to JP8 without changing anything. My old MSR would not do that. This stove is the best stove I have used ever. I think that it would burn anything. I know its a lot of money but if you need a stove and your life depends on it this is the one.

It is the best I ever have tested, but a lot of energy may be saved with a windscreen. It may fit into Trangia, but I have made my own. take a look at: http://home.no.net/dsk/Home_shield/Homemade%20windshield.htm

Well first of all, I didn´t wanna get a MSR Dragonfly. I´ve worked at an ourdoor store for many year and was shocked of the high amount of service returns of the plastic pumps (from the Dragon Fly) Thank God, there was the Optimus Nova, as one of the first customers in the Netherland I bought the NOVA. What a shame..At the first camping trip the bottle and the pump leaked! Fortunally the service was really good and repaired the pump. So the second time I used the stove..it leaked again. back to the service department...and when it returned for the third time, the fuelline was jammed (not even getting loose WITH the magnet) ..so I´ve decided to buy the dragonfly...

This is a great stove! Packs very small and burns very not. Like all liquid fuel stove, it takes a little practice to prime and pre-heat. All that's required to turn the stove off and depressurize the fuel container is to flip the container over. This burns off all excess fuel in the line and eliminate messy fuel leaks when disconnecting the fuel line. A windscreen, which is not avialable from Optimus, may help increase efficiency in windy condition. I contacted Brunton (the US distributor) and was told that a windscreen is under development. Overall, this is a great stove. The only drawback may be weight, but it's comparable with other liquid gas stoves.

I've e-mail them with questions and have always received a reply within a day.

An answer to Flagpole1: Optimus recommends using a windshield as it lowers fuel consumption! The mention about windshields in the manual is directed towards Trangia stove users that have fitted the Nova to it. As the windshield together with the fryingpan as a lid makes such a airtight fit it can suffocate the Nova burner.

Hi all, I needed a dependable fully serviceable stove for month-long treks. I’m an outback photographer from Canada and I needed a white gas stove that would deliver, and deliver more every single time without the usual hassles. I needed something that would perform in the hottest and coldest temps, that was fast to set-up, solid, low in maintenance, could simmer and blast easily. Well, I’ve found all I needed in the Optimus Nova. The stove works flawlessly and delivers exactly what the manufacturer mentions. The Quick Coupling system is a marvel and very safe. If you wait for the bottle to depressurize (takes about a minute), you’ll never have a problem with gas spillage. The stove primes in 20 seconds (summer time) and will not flare-up or create soot. I’ve used it every day for the past 20 days with white gas, diesel, kerosene, car gas and all work really well. No need to change the jet. The best are white gas and kerosene. The stove is half as loud as the MSR Dragonfly and will generate the same power. At full blast it is still loud though! It simmers marvelously well. The Nova is built like a tank in comparison to the DF and the legs don’t stay hot for very long so it is readily packed in minutes. The legs are rounded and at the center (where the burner is) they are close enough for single cup boiling. Unlike most MSR’s where you need the extra espresso holder. The Nova comes with a carry pouch (attachable to a belt), a small field maintenance kit, field tool, bottle, and pump. The only missing part is the windshield, but the manual mentions not to use a windshield with this stove. I’ve used one and the stove didn’t seem to suffer!!! The stove and tool fit easily inside a 1.5L pan. The stove, bottle, and pump weigh in at 15.1 OZ together, which is quite light. The field tool is made to service and clean the stove fully in case of emergency. The magnetic system is valuable when the lit stove starts jamming (with diesel especially), just pass the tool under the stove and everything cleans itself. I bought the larger field maintenance kit and my camping store is capable of getting all parts in one day if required. The pump is made of aluminum and is easy to maintain. The stove is completely serviceable, from the pump to the stove, including the gas tube. I’ve used this stove for almost 25 hours and I’m still waiting for it to jam. It is a workhorse
