Snow Peak Giga Power Stove - Piezo Stoves

Snow Peak Giga Power Stove - Piezo Stoves

DESCRIPTION

This feather-light, super-compact stove is barely noticeable in your pack--click the Piezo igniter for an instant 10, 000 BTU's of cooking power. Collapsible stove top screws onto Snow Peak or MSR isobutane cartridges or Primus butane/propane canisters so you never have to pump or prime. Built-in Piezo igniter sends out an electric spark that starts the flame once the gas is turned on; no matches required!. The stove performs well in cold temperatures and can be reduced to a true simmer for actual cooking, not just boiling water for freeze-dried foods. Fold-out wires provide support for most sizes of cooking pots; stable stove base allows cooking on varied surfaces. Operates most efficiently with Snow Peak fuel canisters. Stove comes in a plastic box for easy packing; size specifications are based on storage box. "Fuel canister sold separately".

This is a Great Little Stove, I bought one back In January ?xD;?xA;and have used it several times since. I love this little stove?xD;?xA;because of its ease of use and because of how lite it is?xD;?xA;at 4 ozs and 10000 btus what more can I ask for. I like the fuel ?xD;?xA;cartridges too. they come in two different sizes the smallest is ?xD;?xA;perfect for a week end trip so as to not carry to much fuel. Cons ?xD;?xA;are the fuel is expensive compared to white gas it is very expensive?xD;?xA;for the same money that I can buy a gallon of white gas that ?xD;?xA;will last me for six months I can buy one cartridge for the gigga power?xD;?xA;that will last only one weekend. bottom line if you just want to save weight?xD;?xA;and don''''t care about fuel costs but want a very fast easy hassel free?xD;?xA; stove buy the gigga power. your supper will be done in a jiffy. if you want ?xD;?xA;save money stick with white gas but you will have more weight to carry.

Great little stove. If like me your primary concern is weight along with functionibility and reliability this is the stove for you. The fuel comes in two different sizes Large (420GRM)4 to 5 days and small (210grm) is just enought for a weekend so you''re not carring more weight than you need. The stove weights 3.5 ozs with a pezo igniter. Heats up fast at 10000 BTUs and simmers well too. I am a avid backpacker who has tried all kinds of gear looking for the lightest and best gear on the market because I don''t want to carry any more weight than I have to so long as I don''t have to give up all of my comfort. This stove will be my main stove from now on in warmer weather. I still have my douts about below freezing temperatures but for nine months out of the year I will include the gigga power in my pack. I have saved several ozs over my Nova. The only down side is the fuel is very expensive compaired to a white gas stoves. To save money the large cartrige is better. You can also use MSR and Primas fuel cartridges although its not recomended from the compny. Bottom line Great stove for saving weight in your pack cooks as well as the best of them.
