The Recon backpack is a ridiculously good looking daypack perfect for ANYONE and subsequently one of The North Faces top-sellers. The Recon is excellent for hiking and biking or for less amusing activities like commuting to work and going to class. With backpacks, comfort is key. To that end, the Recon features contoured shoulder straps, a thick foam backpanel with mesh ventilation, a hipbelt and sternum strap. It also has a mesh pocket for a bike helmet and a cell phone pocket strategically placed on the shoulder strap. There are plenty of accessory pockets to tote a Leatherman tool, calculator, water bottles, or whatever your adventure du jour requires.
