I must reiterate the complaints about leakage on this tent. I have owned other tents--even other Coleman tents--and have NEVER had a tent leak as badly as this one did. We had to use every thing we had to soak up the water and drive into town to dry everything so that we would have dry bedding. It wasn't just the seams, either...the we were able to watch the rain fly seep with water and drip onto our heads. Against the far wall of each of the rooms, 3 inches of water pooled. We ended up covering the tent with two large tarps to get us through the rest of the 10 days we were camping.

We chose this tent because of the size (which was GREAT for two adults, a baby, and a five year old), but we were concerned when we pitched it that the walls in the side rooms are not smooth, even when pitched as snugly as possible.

One of the rain fly poles snapped as well, this on our first use of the tent.

The note on the tent suggests seam sealant...if you must buy this tent, be sure to invest in water proofing!

Got this tent about 4 years ago to replace the earlier version of this same tent that the zippers tore out of and the poles splintered. (coleman outlet manager gave me 100.00 credit for the old tent) This one held up better, but I have already repaired the poles once and they're splitting out again. We love the roominess, although the rooms are too small to adequately fit the queen air beds we like to use. The floor is awesome, two dogs and all our gear have not trashed it in more than a dozen uses. Could benefit from loft storage, and I don't know how folks are setting theirs up that complain about leakage, we've been in some downpours with minimal leakage (mopped up with a dirty sock).

Customer Service

mixed bag...depends on the manager at the outlet store at the moment, manager at the Loveland, CO store was much better than the one at Castle Rock, CO outlet store

many, many tents over the years, this one is pretty darn good, wish they would figure out how to design poles that stand up to the load they're expected to take.

Purchased tent more than 4 yrs ago have been camping 1-2 times every year since. Has good space for me and my wife. I see that some people complain of leakage problems which I resolved myself by putting extensive applications of seam sealer and waterproofer on the outside, and ensured that nothing touched walls when raining. My probelm is that the poles did not hold up well to very windy conditions, some have frayed and now tent does not set up squarly. Currently looking for replacment poles.

Have had the tent for 3 years and used it about 9 times. Easy to set up. Plenty of room for the queen size air matress, double air matress and the single with room for your gear to boot. I've had minimal leakage through several good storms. The leaks occurred in the outter rooms (5 paper towels took care of them).

Customer Service

Haven't used it.

I had a cabin tent which was a pain in the neck to set up and it leaked much worse. (it's now in the Letchworth dumpster)

This tent is roomy, easy to set up and has plenty of head room for car camping. However, my problems with water leakage and Coleman's refusal to honor their "Keeps You Dry...Guaranteed" promise makes it worthless. Even the slightest rain leaves it leaking from every juncture of walls and floor.

Customer Service

Terrible. They first told me it would be "repaired" under warranty, and when I said I wanted a new one under the guarantee, they refused.

I had a cheap Wal-Mart car camping tent that was much better. I now own a Eureka that is much better.

Initially, this tent appeared to provide my family with a good 3 season tent. Our first use was in the Blue Ridge Mountains in November. It worked fine. Good heat retention and venting to remove condensation. As a 6'1" 300lb guy, it doesn't fit me very well though. The "rooms" are 5'x 7' and with me and my wife in a "room", we are very cramped. We used the tent again in June in the same region and the ventilation was not what was needed. It remained very hot in the tent. With small windows and corner doors, the tent does not flow well. Setup is great. I can do this myself in about 20 minutes. Construction is good quality. Waterproofing is adequate. Seepage from contact with the tent wall is high. My feelings is that this is a good tent, but not a great tent. I will be upgrading to another brand soon.

This was our second tent. Our first was a 4 person tent. This thing is a cabin! My wife and I love it! Sets up in about 25 minutes if the wind is not blowing. We bought it to have more room when our grand-kids want to go with us, but we like it so much we use it all the time now. It''s compact, light weight and very well made. I recommend it!
