Should be available for much less than $190US if you shop around. Excellent value for the money. This is one of the largest two man tents around with two useful vestibules. Setup is relatively easy. The included stuff sack is much too large. The fly needs to be seam sealed (with the included seam sealer.) I used a waterproofing spray on the fly and tent floor because I'm paranoid. The included pegs are very heavy, I replaced them with better, lighter ones, bringing the weight close to 5 lbs. The stability is pretty good and can be improved by tying the poles together where they intersect. This tent has many little features I didn't expect for the price. Held up very well to strong rain and 10 cm of snow.

I bought one of these for my son. His scout troop requires scouts to pair-up. Therefore, he needed a tent large enough for two boys with gear for 3-season use. It had to be light, simple, and easy to set up. This tent fills the bill perfectly. It has two doors and two vestibules, is very affordable, light, and extremely easy for young boys to set up. In my mind, it is the best all-around scouter tent currently available. As a matter of fact, all those qualities would make this a good choice for 2 adults !

This tent works well for the money. Superiour storm protection from the two large flys. However, when it's warm and not raining you have a hotbox for a tent. The new '99 version has two great upgrades: a window biult into the fly and a redesigned closing configuration on the fly which allows more air flow into the tents. Quality and duarability are very good. And with a few severe storms under its belt, not one leak!

I am not much of a camper, but this tent serves my purposes well. I haven't had any problems with water getting in and the ventillation is pretty good too. I don't know if I have enough knowledge about the activity of camping to reccommend purchasing this product, but it has held up to the conditions I have put it through.

I have only had the chance to use this tent for a few weekends. It has held up perfectly with no leaks. I would recommend using a waterproofing spray on the fly just in case. This is one of the largest two man tents available yet the weight is still very low. Two doors and vestibules are very handy. Sets up very quickly. The only drawback: the included pegs are heavy.

Purchased mainly for canoe-camping. Wanted a tent that is roomy, light and able to hold up in a storm. Met all my needs very well. Only drawback is poor ventilation in a rain, but newest model has fixed that (older tents could be retrofitted with new fly) with better ventilation on fly, and windows too!

I need a new 2 person tent and have been looking threw tent reviews all over the net. The Mt.Pass has had the best ratings for it's class, and price range. The only gripe I have found is that it does not take heavy snow loads very well, but proper guying plays a key role in that. The added vents for the 99 models seem to make this tent the hot ticket 2 person domes, as well as 2 doors and the fly coverage. I camp on sandbars, so the round door is an added plus, nothing will get kicked in the tent like other doors with straight edged bottoms. if you take a pet along, half the vestibule can be rolled back for shade. The price ranges from $120-$180 and seems to be worth it.

IN THE 11/2 YRS IVE HAD MY EUREKA MOUNTAINPASS I HAVE BEEN ADEQUATLY PLEASED WITH ITS PERFORMENCE...WITH ONE EXCEPTION THE CEILING NETTING STICHING STARTED TO COME UNDONE AFTER ONLY 5 MODERATE (1-3 DAY TRIPS) USES.I RETURNED IT IMMEDIATLY. IVE HAD NO FURTHER INCIDENTS. EUREKA IS AN INEXPENSIVE BRAND FOR THOSE WHO USE A TENT MODERATLY IVE FOUND OVER MANY YRS OF HAVING ONE OF THERE TENTS. I ALSO OWN A 4 SEASON NORTHFACE VE-25 FOR MY SERIOUS OUTINGS AND A BIVYBAG BY MARMOT WHICH FULFILLS MY LIGHT WEIGHT NEEDS X-COUNTRY CYCING, WALL CLIMBING AND ALIKE...

I purchased the 99 version of the XT in preparation for leading a Boy Scout contigent to Philmont Scout Ranch this summer. We have had 3 "shakedown" weekend hikes this year and the XT has performed very well. It has plenty of room for 2 adults and the gear fits well under the flys. Workmanship seems very good. The design improvements now provide good ventilation. I am a Eureka fan. This one is definitely a lot of bang for the buck.

Very good, inexpensive tent. Has only seen use twice since purchase; once in a severe blizard and once when we got a foot of snow overnight. Held up very well both times. Make sure not to bury the edges of the fly or condensation will snow all over you during the night. On problem-the cloth around both doors was frayed when I got the tent, I believe this is just a cosmetic issue.
Very quick to set up and very light for the price. Think I'm going to replace the pegs though- they seem pretty heavy.
