I have had this tent for over three years now and absolutely love it. It is the best of everything. I originally bought it because it was small and light but I have had it on many trips through severe rain, snow, and summer heat and it has excelled in all conditions. My only complaint is that it requires so many stake points to set it up. Great buy and outstanding just don't buy it if you are claustrophobic or prefer lots of room to move.

I generally don't give any feedback on products but the eureka solitaire is an exception to the rule. I did a little research on solo tents and found the solitaire to be the best for my needs. Since backpacking and hunting in Alaska can be extreme, I wanted a tent that was lightweight, waterproof and compact. This tent has it all. On the first outing in the fall of 2002, it rained for two days straight. Not a drop of water ever got into the tent. I did not even notice any condensation. My partner who had another lightweight tent, with a rain fly started to have rain penetrate the walls of his tent. By the end of the trip he was convinced to get one of his own. This tent is the real deal. Took it on another trip in the spring and same situation. Rain for two days and it was dry as a bone. The shock poles are small and lightweight. I took the heavy factory stakes out and replaced with lightweight ones. The only drawback of this tent, it is not a freestanding tent. In the high country or rocky ground it is difficult to keep anchor it down. Great product.

Wenzel Star Lite Tent This is a nice little tent.I spent 7 hot muggy nights in this little tent.Condensation is a problem, but pointing the rear of the tent into the wind helps. It is light at3lbs.8oz.and sheds rain well.It is not free-standing but setup is a breeze. There is room to sit up and store some gear.It is a nice place to get out of the bugs. I will use this tent the next time I solo.

Really liked this tent. It compacts nicely, lightweight, fast and easy to set up. Recently used it for the second time on a 4-day trip to the Grand Canyon. Held up very good in strong winds. Fine sand filtered through, but what the heck, isn't that what camping is about?....getting down and dirt with nature? Only wish it were a little higher so I can sit up. Good quality for the value.

Customer Service

Haven't had to contact them yet...Hope I don't have to anytime soon.

I took this tent to hike the John Muir Trail, a 20 day solo hike. It held up very well in the rain, and is very light weight. It isn't free-standing, which makes it a bit limited in its use. It is a bit difficult to get in and out of, and you can't sit up in the tent. Also, the vestibule is of limited use, you can't cook under it or fit much stuff under it.

An excellent value. It's also very light. On the one trip I took it on I found no problems with it. The only thing I didn't like was the low ceiling height.

Customer Service

Never used it.

Spent 4 days with my Solitaire. Probably the best bivy at this price for the ultralight crowd. It goes up in under 3 minutes and stood up to some stiff wind on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Haven't seen it in heavy weather, though. For under $80 this is a great value!

Great tent for lightweight, fair-weather backpacking. Not very comfortable for anything other than sleeping, I wouldn't bring this tent if expecting bad weather. Ventillation is very good. A little awkward to get in and out of, but over all worth the drawbacks for saving weight.

Very great tent. Relatively cheap and light. Mesh body makes for an airy tent with or without fly. While one other reviewer said there wasn't much room for gear, take what you need out the night before and use a pack cover

Great small tent. perfect for weekend trips. very VERY light. EXTREMELY good value. Once again, Eureka comes to the rescue when you need somehting good. At 6'5", Fairly spacious for a bivy tent. Highly recommend. Kinda wet in very very hard hurricane type wind.

Customer Service

No CS needed. very self-explanatory. any possible problems work themselevs out.
