I live in Michigan and am new to camping. I bought the Eureka Sunrise 11 because I didn't want to feel cramped, especially when doing things like changing clothes. This is the first tent that I have owned and I love it. I just camped for 5 days in Michigan's upper penninsula, with two days of rain. The tent stayed dry for the most part but was a little wet under our air matresses. I use it for two people and we felt almost like we were in a condominium as far as tents go. It has great ventilation and you don't notice all that dewy condensation in the morning like some other tents. I would highly recommend this tent for any camping style.

Bought the Sunrise to use on Boy Scout camping trips. Used about 1 weekend a month for the last 8 months + -. The tent is great. Goes up easy. Last month high winds came up and wiped out several of the Troops Timberlines but the Sunrise barely rippled. I highly recommend it.

Best tent I've owned. The ventillation is a must for southern climates. Even in moderate rain the tent stays dry with the windows open. Just right for two adults with gear.

My 9x9 is probably the best overall designed tent I've found. For my son and myself, there's plenty of extra room using cots-3 people on cots would be close, but comfortable. I've used mine twice in rainstorms that lasted a day or more and the inside was dry even with the windows open almost all the way. Great ventillation for Southern conditions with an open feeling. Holds up well in windy conditions and is snug with the windows zipped shut, too. Wish the floor was thicker, more durable; make sure you seam seal it well or the floor will leak around the corners (the fly and main floor seams are already sealed). Environmentally friendly color. Best for the money.

Timberline 3-man tent --good in cold weather or rain, but claustrophobic and hot in Southern summers. Canvas tents-no thanks.

This is the first tent we purchased and we are very glad we purchased it. It is easy to set up and take down and it held together and kept us dry during a thunderstorm and rain in which several other campers' tents collapsed and/or leaked. Eureka claims that it sleeps 4-5 people (the floor is 9' x 9'), which is really stretching it. I'd say 3 adults plus gear would be comfortable in it, or maybe 2 adults and 2 small children. The ventilation is very good, with 2 roof vents, three windows, and the door. It is rather large when packed and the fiberglass poles are rather heavy, so it probably wouldn't be good for backpacking, but it is fine for car camping.

I used this tent last weeken at a 24-hour mountain bike race. It was easy to set up, and roomy enough for a 6'4"" guy and all his equipment. I'm not sure this is a tent for two adults plus gear. Zips were pretty good, but tended to catch once in a while (like all zippers do!)

Customer Service

An all-round excellent value based on price, functionality, and easy of use.
