Kelty Riverbend 3 Tent Tents

Kelty Riverbend 3 Tent Tents

DESCRIPTION

With large ceiling and window panels for ventilation, this three-person tent is great for three-season backpacking and traveling. Freestanding, lightweight, two-pole design allows fast setup; DAC Featherlite® poles are 10-15% lighter for same strength. FlyBoy® technology anchors the body, rainfly and poles together into a single, unitized self-reinforcing structure. Webforce™ stabilizes the tent further and eases set up--"trusses" guide poles through intersections and "tendons" lock stakeout points to FlyBoy. Full-coverage rainfly features stakeout vestibule for gear storage and an Eclipse™ photochromatic window to view the weather. Vaulted pole sleeves increase airflow between tent and rainfly to prevent condensation. ArcEdge™ floor remains taut with specially-constructed, waterproof seams that are up off the ground.

I looked at several tents that could be used for camping and festivals. The Riverbend 3 had all the features and room that I was looking for, and I found it for a great price. The construction is very solid. The roof is very nice for star gazing, and allows the tent to stay cool even in full sun. First set up was right out of the box at campsite...easy and straight forward. Looking forward to many more trips with this tent.

Customer Service

I had the tent shipped overnight before our trip. It made it all the way from Montana to Nashville, and then UPS dropped the ball on delivery. Bob Wards sent me the footprint and covered the difference in price and shipping to make up for the screw up by UPS. Great customer service.

Strength:

None

I took a chance on this tent - really it is heavier than it should be for backpacking. Boy, is it a great tent! Took it to Colorado late this last summer, camped at around 12,000 to 12,500. We got rained on, blown on (hard), sleeted on, snowed on, and the tent worked just great. No problems whatsoever. One of the guys in our group had a very expensive all-season tent from a big name company that leaked all over him. We woke up one morning to discover that the tent was covered with about a 1/4 - 1/2 inch thick layer of ice - very heavy - but it didn''t hurt the tent at all. Also, the square footage inside is very well laid out for maximum use.

Customer Service

Very good for all Kelty products.
