i have the Streamside AL (EMS's version with different reflective coatings and aluminum poles). This tent has served me well in the last 6 months. I've rarely had problems with water once it's set up properly, although the rain fly could be just a bit larger. Rain sometimes tends to spatter along the sides even when the fly is guyed out. One person can sleep in luxury, and two without too many problems. It would be great to have loops along the inner surface to hang stuff to dry. With a little self modification, this tent has been all that I've ever needed in a 3-season tent (although, i intend to use it year round)

Customer Service

customer service was helpful with questions, although i've never needed actual repairs or service. the manual is cute, too.

I too bought this tent last summer at an extremely great price. Used it in the Adirondaks of New York, Moabs Desert and on Mt. Olympus. Its an extremely quick pitching tent and overall very strong. The large mesh panels allow this tent to breathe like no other, well almost.

It is a little on the portly side, and I wish I could get a set of the Aluminum poles which Kelty uses on the Riverbend 2. I can't complain though, for the price it is a great piece of equipment.

Anyone looking for a great buy on an excellent two person tent will like the Streamside. It works well for car camping and is small enough to pack for an overnight solo outing.

Customer Service

I haven't had to use Kelty's customer service, but if they are as good as their website and the products the produce, I would have to say it is very good. The website has a lot of detailed information, including instruction mauals if happen to misplace yours.

I got my streamside 2 last summer for an extremely cheap price. I got it right before I spent 6 weeks out west in Wyoming and Idaho. The tent is very simple to pitch and pack. Its small and lightweight. I slept in snow in the Bighorns, large summer downpours, and hot sunny weather, and I never had a problem. Every other person I was with had a leak at some point, exept me. This is overall a great buy.
