A fantastic tent for 3 season use where weight and packed size are priority. I am 6'0 tall and have always found headroom and living space a problem but not with the Zenith. I added 4 velcro loops to the inside of the fly [one at each corner, roughly half way down the poles] to wrap around the poles and increase stability in bad weather, these were sewn on and sealed on both sides with seam grip. Having used the tent in pretty bad weather they work very well [although Marmot would probably not recommended this] I can't say enough good things about this tent, the packed size, features and quality are superb.

For the money, I could not find another tent that combines the strength, stability, size, and weight as well as the Marmot Zenith. Plenty of room for 2, very rare in a 2 man backpacking tent. I have used it on 2 trips so far, both pretty rainy, and I stayed bone dry each night (total of 8 nights). I haven't experienced truly horrible weather, but I have no doubt that it could handle a lot. It is under 6 pounds and 200 dollars and has an extra browpole. I was ready to give it an absolutely glowing review, but have found a couple of disappointments. First, I wish Marmot provided 2 more stakes, there aren't enough to stake down the fly. Second, the zipper on the vestibule doesn't slide as well as I'd like. This is not a problem, simply an inconvenience that I wish wasn't there. And third, on my last night out, one of my poles bent. It wasn't bad and didn't create a problem when I set it up, but I was really surprised that it would bend from routine use so early on. I know that Marmot does not make the poles, and their literature assures that the poles are among the best. However, I have to be skeptical.
Regardless of these disappointments, I still have to recommend this tent to anybody who has the same priorities as me, space, cost, stability, and weight. It is not the absolute best at any of the four of these characteristics, but it combines them far better than any other tent on the market.

Ahh, what a fine tent. I have only used it a few times, but one of the times was in 3 days of non stop rain... the tent remained dry the whole time. Its a snap to set up, and its easy to pack up too.
The vestabule is kinda small, and sometimes the vestabule zipper snags the edges when you are outside the tent trying to zip it up.
Other than that, its a bitchen tent. Well worth the money.
