I have used my deltoid now for about 5 years, and it is still as solid as the first day I set it up. When I bought it (before Moss - k2? - discontinued it) they told me they didnt make ground sheets for Moss tents because the material the floor is made of is waterproof and strong. I have proven this time and time again, however it would be nice to have protection against tree sap and other ookie-gookies.
My favorite memory with this tent was when I was winter camping in Montana and my hiking partner and I woke up to find nearly a foot of heavy new snow completely burying our tent. The deltoid was unphased by this burden.
If I had to make a small complaint, it has very poor ventilation. The tradeoff is, you can sleep soundly through the worst of weather. It is one tough tent.

Customer Service

I emailed Moss once about custom-making me a groundcloth. They said they would. I also ranted about discontinuing the deltoid, since I am such a fan. They appreciated my loyalty, but I havent seen it in any new catalogues since :)

A little on the heavy side but once at basecamp worht the effort. A bombproof shelter! Can be a bit trickly setting up in high winds, key is to get all the poles in prior to raising off the ground. Has held up well in both rain and snow conditions. The extra support pole across the top adds stability in high winds and for keeping the ventalation optimal with snow loads. A great tent for two and gear. The vistibule is just right for storage of gear and cooking abilities. Useful loops inside the tent for stringing up a gear line, candle lantern, etc... The zippered side window and top help increase ventalation. The top zipper ocassionally drips if there is a lot of moisture riding on top. So far no cases of stir craziness on those bad weather days, the colors help! Overall a great tent with a steep price!

I've had just two outings with the Moss Deltoid, which I understand has now been discontinued from their line. I plan on using this tent for my kayaking trips when I need room for two and for car camping. It's kind of a small version of the Little Dipper. Easy to set up once you learn to follow the color codes on the sleeves. This tent has a huge vestibule which has plenty of room to cook and store. You have to pull pretty tight to get air space between fly and tent. I'm going to try using a few balloons next trip to create more air space. I used this tent about three weeks ago on a three night winter kayak trip. Temps got down to 15 degrees at night. I was by myself and tent would be about ten degrees warmer inside than out. The fly was pretty frosty the next morning, but the tent itself was fairly dry. On the third day one of my sleeves tore when sliding the poles through. The sleeve was damp and the poles slide harder when this happens. I haven't had any experience yet in warmer weather and am very curious on the air movement. I love the space inside, but you would be crowded with three. Also enjoy the colors. Very relaxing. Packs up much smaller dry than damp. You really have to work to get it rolled to the 6 x 21 spec size, but it can be done and then you have a nine pound tent taking up not much more room than a four or five pounder. This tent will be a mansion compared to most of my friends tents when we go on kayaking overnights. I haven't been in any rains yet. I will update this sight in six months when I know more.

Customer Service

I sent Moss a e-mail with a few questions. Five minutes later the phone rings and a very nice Moss rep. spends thirty minutes with me giving me tips on tenting and answering every question that I could thinks of. I mentioned that there were no stake ropes included in my purchase. He said they should have been in there and I will send you some out today. He not only sent me out the reflective ropes for the stakes, but also sent a repair kit for the tent as well. I am sold on their company as far as customer service goes. A small company based in the US that just makes tents. A five plus for cust. service.
