This tent survuved 6 1/2 months of constant use on the Appalachian Trail in all kinds of weather conditions from heavy downpours to violent wind storms. Plenty of room for two people who aren't afraid to snuggle. The skylight window is a plus for those days when it's cold and raining and you don't want to go anywhere- just lay there watching the rain run off. Plenty of gear storage pockets and a loft that works well as a drying rack. Vestibule area works well for a kitchen with the two-way fly zipper. Side door entry makes for easy late night bathroom runs. Easy to set up by yourself and has a fairly low pack weight of just under 6 lbs. Great tent for weekend outings and long distance trips. Use the footprint to save the floor material and seam seal the fly
carefully, especially around the skylight window.

Customer Service

Called to figure out why the tent fly was leaking even though it was fuly seam sealed. Was told to make sure you apply the seam sealer under the lap-belt type seam. Once I reapplied the sealer correctly, no more leaks.
Also sent my tent back to have the front fly ventilation access zipper installed for a nominal fee. Quality workmanship.

The skylight is a great tent. It has enough room for my needs and is super light. It is the perfect backpacking tent. The bathtub design is great and the ventilation is amazing. It is packed withvents and even has one large one on top. The rain fly is a clear uvx material which allows you to see the stars at night. if iyou dont want people to see you or dont want to be woken up by the sun in the morning, it has a nifty little privacy panel. This is a great tent.

The Skylight I own can best be described as a 1 1/2 man tent. Plently of room for me and gear. Plenty of ventilation, even with fly attached. Mt. Hardware put two mesh panels at the head of the tent where the rain fly can be completely or partially roled up so you get good ventilation, even when it's raining. Ingeneous design with a vertical zipper by the mesh panels at the head of the tent that allows you to roll the rain fly up or down while still in the tent so you don't get wet while adjusting it! Great idea. The Skylight is a clear plastic window in the rain fly that allows you to see the stars while you are sacking out in the tent. Quick release bukcle system on rain fly is a snap to set up and easy to adjust. About 5 lbs packed weight. Overall, a great value for price/workmanship.

Customer Service

The only draw back is tha the ""vestible"" area is a bit small, although I've been able to store my backpack under it in the rain.
