Mountain Hardwear Skyview Tent Tents

DESCRIPTION

Three-pole design with large floorplan is sturdy in high winds and has plenty of room for gear. Canopy constructed with 2-ply ripstop nylon for extreme tear resistance; treated with mildew- and UV-inhibitors. Nylon taffeta rainfly with 2-pass polyurethane coating and nylon taffeta floor with 3-pass polyurethane coating for waterproof protection. Factory-taped, non-yellowing, non-clouding, clear film window in rainfly and over the convertible panel allow views and extra light. Two full-sized double doors give you a choice of no-see-um mesh for venting or ripstop nylon for privacy and four-season use. Converting tent from 3-season to 4-season use, mesh sky panel with zip-out ripstop cover adjusts for venting and views. Rear mesh window with ripstop nylon panel allows cross-ventilation. Pole-supported, extra-large front vestibule increases usable storage space; two zippered entrances on rainfly provide sheltered entry. Large pockets and webbing hang loops offer easy organization.

Oh My Gawd!!! I am so happy I picked up this tent! I went 3/4 season tent shopping and the price just screamed BUY ME!!! It's a bit heavy, but splitting the weight between 2 people does not pose a problem. except when your partner gets lost for a few hours... and all you want to do is lie down. It fits 2 close "friends", with room to spare. Shoes, Packs, and stuff you don't want wet, fit great in the roomy Vestibule, while entry/egress is facilitated by the second door. air ventiliation could be a bit better... but then again, what am i expecting for a 3/4 convertible? silly boy. This tent held up in my first rainstorm ever in 8 years of backpacking, I was too lazy to seam-seal.. but it wasn't a problem, as we setup the tent in a good location, and guyed out sides to divert runoff. Needless to say, i'm quite impressed! Get the footprint, as it beats unsightly blue tarps anyday!
