Great tent for the value. Very simple to set up and take down. Perfect for the fair weather camper.

Bought this tent for a personal camping tent, while mountain biking and doing century road rides. Have used it twice, once during the Apple Century ride in Wenatchee, Wa. in June and 45 mph gusts for two days, and again in July during the STP ride. Both times this tent was a breeze to set up and to put away. I felt it vented pretty well, with very little condesation on the inside. No rain experience though.

Customer Service

I have used REI's web site for ordering many things from tent's, to clothes, to bikes tubes, and have never had a problem. Once I got a shirt that didn't fit right, so instead of returning it through the web site, I returned it to the Seattle store, and everyone was a friendly as could be.

One of the best values in a 3 season lightweight backpacking tent! It's very light and compact. It's a snap to pitch and has ample room for two with just enough room in the vest. to store a couple of packs. We shopped just about every 2 man tent in the 5lb range and we could not find anything that came close to the quality vs.cost. Great value, highly reccomended.

Customer Service

If you wanted any better you'd have to buy it at nordstroms but you can't.

This is a good 2 person tent for a low price. It has feature of the "top" brands such as aluminum poles, bathtub floor, and a tape seamed rain fly. This is my first tent and I'm happy with it. I have used it on several backpacking trips up to 7 days. During my last trip, we had about 5 hours of hard rain, and thoughthe side of the floor got cold and damp, there was no water inside the tent. I would strongly recommend getting the ground cloth, better stakes, and carry extra pea-cord, since I don't trust the plastic locking things on the pea-cord for the rain-fly. If you need a basic 3 season tent without taking out a loan, it is a good deal.

Customer Service

REI is kown for their customer service. I have taken back boots and made an exchange without any hassle. I even called them up for advice on the best seam-sealer for my tent, and they were helpful.

Value is this tent's greatest asset. Decent construction, pretty lightweight, and very good ventilation are all
pluses, but it's a little small, even for 2 people. For some reason, the interior height seems much higher than
necessary--an increased length would've been a better use of weight, while also making it less of a target for the
wind. Despite these minor gripes, though, for a first 3-season tent, it's a good buy.

Great value. Make sure you buy the ground cover that goes with this tent. It is a bit snug for two people and there is not a lot of room for gear--we bought a "tent attic" to tie up above us. Overall, I think this is a very good tent that we will use for years to come.

Customer Service

REI has great customer service. While I have never had problems with their products, I know that they will readily exchange anything even if you have used the item and just don't like it.

We had an older REI tent--they have certainly improved over the years in terms of weight and durability.

Great value for the money. The tent sets up easy, is durable, and is reasonably light weight. The only significant problem I've had with the tent is that on occasion if I set up too fast the tip of the pole will pierce the fabric guides and I'll have to put a small patch on. This can be easily avoided with a little care.

Customer Service

Nothing new....REI provides excellent customer service and stands behind everything they sell.

I got this on sale at REI for $100. I thing it is well worth the money. It is very lightweight and has been pretty durable. It does tend to get wet some even when it is set up well in a hard downpour because of the fly touching the tent, but not too much.
Also, it is a tight fit for 2, but plenty for me since all I am doing is sleeping.

This tent while attractive in price, should be avoided for any sort of long use hiking. I went through two of them in 1995 when I did the A.T. Seepage was evident in the floor seams just after a month of use. The rainfly, (if one could call it that) does not cover the tent low enough, so rain and water can still get by it and soak the bottom 12"" of the tent. The shock corded poles make great lances as they can (and do) rip through the pole sleeves if the material is damp. (This after 2 months of use) NO vestibule is a major drag as well. Unless you like stepping out of your sleeping bag RIGHT into the rain.. ;-) Maybe it is good for the occasional weekend hiker, but I won't buy another.

For the price this is a great summer/spring tent. It has plenty of room and a great rain cover. Unfortunately, it's only a 3-season tent. I'm planning to climb Mt. Shasta this summer and will probably need to borrow a 4-season tent.

Customer Service

I've always been pleased with the service at REI. I buy 90% of my gear there.
