Really good tent! I purchased for a cycling trip because of it's light weight. I usually use it on two or three day hikes or car camping. I have been stuck in some nasty storms in it and as long as it's guyed out and staked down really well. A friend just took this tent on the AT for a week and raved about the light weight and how well it held up in a rain storm one night. Weaknesses: I bent a bunch of tent stakes out in Moab. A freestanding tent is much better for those hardpacked conditions but I live in the midwest so that isn't really much of an issue. Make sure to carry lots of stakes to properly pitch the tent and extras to guy it out. It could brethe a little better. It gets pretty warm in the summertime with the fly on it.

Customer Service

Haven't had to use them. I have a sleeping bag from SD and have never had a problem with either product. A testament to the quality of their product.

I love the tent. It is very light, roomy, quick to set up, and holds up great in a pounding rainstorm (a Kelty Rivebend and an REI Half Dome blew around and leaked in the same storm - so I slept while they ran around fixing their tents). . The tent could easily be the perfect roomy 2/3 person tent if they 1) Use a smooth operating zipper and add a slight curve at the top (to give more room to get under the fly). Mine may have been the exception - but it and their warranty service were terrible. 2) Extend the mesh higher up on the tent to help it breathe better - it was stuffy even in April on the Buffalo National River in northern Arkansas - and I'm from Central Texas.

I bought the 2000 model from Campmor. It is a GREAT! tent. I bought it as a two person plus gear tent and it works great for that, but it could handle three in a pinch. It's light and roomy and you could pay a lot more to carry more weight and get less room with another brand. I highly recommend this tent to anybody not hung up about free standing tents. I backpack mostly in the Olympic Mountains of Western Washington and if that doesn't test a tent's backcountry performance I don't know what will. Water proofness has been proven to my satisfaction.

Customer Service

I called customer service with questions about footprints and seam sealing. Got a human the first time and a very knowledgeable human at that. Answered all questions clearly and concisely.
Haven't had any problems with the gear and don't expect to.

This is really a great tent. I selected this tent based on my need for a very light 2 person tent. It fits these requirements perfectly - but I would not try for 3 people. Set up could not be easier for a tent that is not free-standing. It not being free-standing is a small compromise for the weight you save. It is made extremely well. I have used the tent about 10 times now and could not be happier. The weight is saves over the alternatives can't be undertated.

All last year I used my omega cd and loved it and still do, however last febuary I started looking for ways to lighten my pack load so I bought a clip 3. It is much bigger than the clip 2 with all the same quilitys as the clip 2. You know what they say if it ant broke dont fix it, well What can I say I love this tent too. It is roomer than the omega but 2Lbs lighter It holds up well in wind and rain but make sure you seam seal it before you take it out in to the wilds. It has plinty of room in the vestibule for our packs to keep them out of the wether. It has just enough mesh to keep it cool in the sumer but is warmer than you might expect in winter(I still think I will carry my omega cd in the winter though because I love the convertable features of the omega cd. when I zip the roof shut believe it or not it heats up 10 degrees on the inside). any way if you are looking for a good light weight roomy backpacking tent this is it but like the clip 2 it would be to small for three people. I have not seen any other tent with this much room this light. I dont think it can be beat for a two person back packing tent for the price. I have my pack weight down to 30 Lbs with 5 days of gear in the summer with this tent not bad to have all this comfort
