For the most part I love this tent. It has heald up well in varrying conditions include 2 straight days of hard-pouring rain. The only drawback is the weight. I wouldn't mind it being so heavy if it was a bit larger inside.

Customer Service

No need to call TNF.

i've used this tent in various conditions over the last year. it performed very well in the rain and wind (kept us safe in a storm that killed a few people in southern minnesota). it is very light (6 lbs or less), so it was a dream when doing lightweight backpacking and treks into the bwca. easy - one person set up (i could even set it up when i had a broken elbow!). sad to see the north face is not making it again this year. i agree that the vestibule space is limited...so pack light!

Well I bought this tent for long distance cycling. The problem is the tent leaks. This is a falt of the design. The rain does Not run off the top of the tent. I had to put a plastic tarp over the top in a bad rainstorm because of the leaking at 1:00 am in the rain! It was Not leaking near the seams! The main pole broke the next morning. This bike trip was across North America and Canada.

Customer Service

Northface replaced all of the poles but did Not replace the Vestibule. Sorry Northface you Lost my business.

I have several Serria Design tents and the poles never broke and the tent never leaked. They are alot easier to set up too!!

I have had this tent for a year and it has held up great. It holds up in all types of weather. I spent a week in the San Juan Mountains over the summer and it rained everyday all day long. The tent held up great in this storm and kept me dry the whole time. Having two doors is great. It's much better than only one in which you can get stepped on when someone leaves the tent in the night. The only problem with the tent is the size of the vestibules. It really sucks that TNF discontinued it because I never got a chance to get the foot print and have not been able to find one any where. Otherwise, this tent is great.

I used to have an Rei half dome which also held up great even after three years of abuse.

This tent was pretty heavily hyped by Outside magazine. It's also been discontinued after one year. I bought it partly because of the reviews, partly because I got a good price on it, and mainly because I liked it's features. The fly is seam taped at the factory, I've found it to be quite watertight. I prefer pole sleeves to clips, which with the 7075 poles make this quite a sturdy shelter. There are attachment points for guy lines all over the place. Ventilation is real good. I admit that the vestibules are small, but I LOVE the two side doors. Not to be crude, but it's really nice to able to get out of the tent at night to take a pee without stepping on your tent partner. It's even nicer not to be stepped upon by your full-bladdered tent partner!! Also, because it was discontinued, I got a REALLY good deal on the footprint.

I have only used this tent once but it worked great. I dont know why everyone says it is so small inside, during a thunder/lightning storm in Buffalo Creek, CO, myself and three others waited out the weather in it quite comfortably. Although we had plenty of beer and ganja in it to calm our nerves! Haha! ~ ~~ ~ This tent stakes up fast. 10 minutes tops. Lots of velcro straps to tie things down. Seems very well made for only $180 (sale at REI). I am still not sure what the tube of glue is for that came with it, the instructions say something about waterproofing the floor but we didnt have any problems with leakage. I like the see-through mesh roof for stargazing while keeping bugs out. It is hella-cool with its groovy 2 doors too! Makes airing out the smoke a breeze...just open them both up!

Monsoons, typhoons and other tropical depressions hardly put a dent on this baby!! Seaworthy as the Titanic (er...maybe not) but as cramped as a row boat. Pack light people, the vestibule's really small. All in all this tent kicks mountain ass just like most TNF products do!

I used this tent during a one week biking tour in Grand Teton & Yellowstone NP, followed by a one week biking tour around Moab and Arches NP. The tent performed like a champ. It's easy to set up. The tent never leaked in spite of a few nights with very heavy rainfall, which made me appreciate the product. The two doors are indeed a practical feature as one commentator has already highlighted. Travelling on my own, I cannot add a meaningful comment on the question whether the tent is spacious or not. I had no condensation problems. It's a compact and light tent, which one comes to appreciate when loading it on a bike and in particular when biking uphill ! One word of caution though : When setting up the tent, beware when sliding the tent poles forcefully through the sleeves: the metal edges of the pole are sharp and can tear the sleeve open.
