I bought this tent on sale in 98'. It has held up extreley well in all types on conditions. It is bombproof, windproof, rainproof and does very well in the snow. The only drawbacks are the ventilation design (tent sleeves, not clips; weight, and lack of a good sized vestibule. Even with the aforementioned shortcomings, I love this tent, and anticipate using it as my winter/mountaineering tent for a long time.

A great tent for cold, adverse conditions, but in the hot summer months you will wish for a tent with much more air flow. Its simple to set, about 5 minutes by myself, much less if there is someone working the other side. The two doors are great for those late night visits to mother nature without waking your partner. The two doos also are a god-send when you have a hot sleeper and a cold sleeper as they allow for personalized air flow in the two sides. On calm nights I generally set up the tent with only two stakes, but if conditions require (ie. sleeping on a rock ledge) the tent can be used with out any staking. The vestibule is a little small for two expedition sized packs, but the tent is roomy enough to bring one pack inside.

i highly recomend this tent. i bought it fairly cheap because it is last years model. This tent is light for a four pole four season tent. it sets-up in under five min, (include rain fly). i like the fact that this tent has two doors and with the rain fly has a huge vestible. there is plent of room for two people including head room. there is also a nice screen window in the back of the tent which allows for good ventiation. it is strong in winds and great in the rain.
