This tent is a dream come true. The 98 modle is different from the other modles because the canapy is a solid piece of netting... great for ventilation. the rainfly proformed great while i was on a six day backpacking trip when it rain constantly for three day. Walrus makes great tents. I would recomend this tent to anyone who wants a fast, strong, and beautiful tent.

I bought this tent after reading about it in Backpacker where it got rave reviews, and I was not disappointed. That was five(?) years ago and many outdoor adventures including a fifty mile fall canoe trip down the Current river here in Missouri and a few solo backpacking adventures. This is definately more of a 1-man tent than a two-man due to the size except for maybe new loves that like/want close quarters. The fly fits like a glove and if you have the time to futz with it you can configute it to handle just about any weather condition except for maybe heavy snow. This tent is perfect for any outdoor soloist that cherishes weight and packability along with durability. I have yet to bend a pole on it but the stakes as supplied by Walrus are almost completely useless. Good Buy for the price!!

I've had this tent for about 3 months now but have only had it out once. The setup is sooooooo easy, my wife could do it. There is plenty of room inside for 2, space for gear is limited but we managed. Plenty of ventilation, should be a good tent for summer use. Only weighs in at 4.5lbs.

I give it a thumbs up!

Used for several years in Smokies and surrounding areas. I have never gotten wet. No condensation problems at all. Does well in wind if oriented properly. For taller people (6 ft+), this is the best 3 season tent there is. If I were shorter, I would go with Sierra Designs.
