I will start out by getting to the good stuff. Buy this tent, you can't beat it with a stick for the price. You need not read any further if you dont want to. Now back to the story. I needed a tent for all seasons and not take out a second mortage to pay for it. This tent has taken me from the shores of the Atlantic Ocean to the Rocky Mountains this past year without a single *uck up. It will take some trial and error to get it vented in cold temps to avoid condensaton but I think thats the case with all but a few four season tents. The entance is a little low for me (Im 6'4) but once inside I can stretch out without my feet or head touching. It is rated for two people but it is so big you could fit three in a pinch. My tent is the 99 model and it has two vestibules and this is good because I can put stuff under one and enter through the other. It is solid as a rock standing up to some winds in Colorado that had to approach 40mph. My buddys Eureka timberlite flapped away into the night as I was sealed up in my home away fom home. I dont know how these other reveiwers can find so many things to bitch about mine has performed flawlessly from day one. I bought mine from REI for $280 and I seen it recently there for $200 and it is a steal. It is not the lightest or smallest but I chose a bigger and heavier four season tent for the room and toughness. I good nights sleep in a tent that I dont have to worry about is high on my priority list. There are better three season tents and there are better four season tents but THERE IS KNOW BETTER TENT FOR ALL SEASONS FOR THIS KIND OF MONEY. You can spend more, but for what a cool name or logo? I have no regrets and would buy it again if I had to do it all over. Thank you for your undevided attention.

I just got back from the Inyo's and was caught in a very wicked snow storm with winds exceeding 75 mph. This storm went on for about ten hours before it blew over. (This was the first time this tent was used). The tent held up like a champ and we were able to stay dry. Some added bonuses, the extra room was great and we did not develop cabin fever. The floor, perfect and held up like a champ. We were able to cook in the vestibule after some minor adjustments. I would highly recommend that you learn the characteristics of this tent prior to going out in the elements. It will pay off.

Disadventage: Twice during this storm we had to go out to readjust the fly for it started to sag. Condensation was also a problem and some adjustments had to be made with keeping the bottom of the doors open.

I'm planning to make some modifications to the fly for this tent would not work in a rocky canyon environment.

We bought this tent 3 years ago, and have bee through just about everything in it. snow, torential downpours, and desert like dust bowls. Its handled it all keeping us comfortable and dry. Like the double door access and reasonably large vestibule. But find ventilation could be better having only 2 vents in the bottom corners. Needs one on the ceiling area. Pretty light weight for the size, but large fly makes it a tad bulkey.

Customer Service

Tent came with a cracked aluminum pole. The store had it taken care of within a couple weeks.

We tried cheaping out on your standard Coleman dome tent. Don't do it. Spend the bucks and get a good one.

Overall this is a good tent. It is well built and provides good 4-season shelter. The two vestibules are nice and roomy. However I have two complaints. My biggest complaint is the hub system. True it makes the tent a breeze to set up, but it makes the tent difficult to pack. I also find it a little heavy for my taste.

I bought this tent for two reasons: price and the promise of four-season usage. it's first outing was a january trip to Donner Pass. Worst weekend there in recent memory. Snow all weekend, with 80 mph winds. The tent performed flawlessly. Roomy enough for 2 over-six foot tall men, with all our winter gear (in the two vestibules). No problems setting it up in the lousy weather (it probably helped that I went through a dry-run before the trip). Definitely a bargain at twice the price.

Customer Service

I lost one of the fly poles, and called customer service. They shipped me a replacement immediately, and when it arrived, the invoice said NO CHARGE!
