Okay, first off, don't even think about buying any other poles!! Period! After using "anti-shock" poles with internal springs for 3 years I decided to find a better pole. This is it. These are simple and very light. It isn't the actual wieght that matters... it is waht they call swing weight that is important. These feel very light as you are "swinging" them back and forth. I can even just let them pivot between two fingers and my thumb. I don't miss the anti-shock for even one second. These are a must have item. Good poles, very light. They were priced at only $10 over the regular Makalu so I decided to go for it. Later it dawned onme I spent $120 on a pair of collapsible sticks and felt a bit silly, but what the heck. Similar Products Used: Thick tree branches :) Useful for creek crossings but not general trekking. |
