MSR Overland 1 Trekking Poles

MSR Overland 1 Trekking Poles

DESCRIPTION

A workhorse of a three-piece telescoping trekking pole—the OverLand 1 features Full-Suspension Technology with nitrogen-charged inserts. Translated: your trekking poles will gently absorb the shock transmitted from the pole tip hitting the ground, instead of your wrists, elbows and shoulders.

As the other review mentioned, just the right amount of shock absorption. Despite the "nitrogen charged" product description, there are basically a 1" long rubber insert between two of the sections of the pole. It acts like a vibration dampener w/o the bounciness of the spring dampeners. It's a good compromise and they're pretty sturdy. Only thing I wish they had was a camera mount at the top by unscrewing a handle.

These are the best trecking poles that I have used. They have just enophe shock absorbtion to do the job with out giving negative feedback like some of the other spring loaded systems. The grips are at a great angle and jusst soft enophe to use all day. They are strong and fairly lite. The elastimer bumbers lasts for ever. They are easy to clean and pack small. They are hard to find but worth the search.
