Safewater Anywhere Filter Hydration Reservoir - 70-oz. Water Filters

DESCRIPTION

Take deep, thirst-quenching draughts of filtered water without pumping first--innovative materials and the inline filter make it easy. Inline filter removes microorganisms including 99.9999% of E. coli and bacteria; also removes 99.98% of protozoa. Durable, radio-frequency welded polyurethane reservoir, with an internal baffle for added strength, holds 70-fluid oz. of water to keep you hydrated. Antimicrobial HealthShield(TM) suppresses the growth of bacteria, fungus, mildew and mold inside the reservoir, drinking tube and bite-valve. Wide-mouth opening with dual pull points holds the reservoir open for easy filling; leak-proof screw-down top. Standardized size fits easily within many hydration packs, sold separately.

I had problems with this unit from day one. For starters, the heat seal around the reservoir "bag" perimeter was defective, and when full, the bag leaked sufficiently to wet my pack and gear stowed in the bottom. The unit was carried outside my pack held in place by the a panel designed for just such purposes. The bite valve leaked as well, constantly wetting my shoulder and sleeve. SafeWater told me they'd replace the unit for me, but it's been over two months and they have not kept their word. They don't seem to return their phone calls either.

Customer Service

Not too great in my opinion. They are slow to respond and don't return phone calls. Can they be that busy?
